Context
Germans’ opinion of the U.S. has fluctuated over the years but was historically low between 2017 and 2020 during President Donald Trump’s time in office. The percentage of Germans who had a favorable opinion of the U.S. dropped from 57% in 2016 to 26% in 2020, according to surveys conducted by Pew Research. In 2022, that number had increased to 63% and dropped slightly to 57% in 2023. Looking forward to an election year in the U.S. in 2024, will more or less Germans have a favorable opinion of the U.S.?

Resolution Criteria
This question will be resolved by comparing 2023 and 2024 polling data from Pew Research about countries' opinion of the U.S.
