Context

On July 21, 2022, the Italian parliament was dissolved following the resignation of Prime Minister Mario Draghi.  Snap elections were called, and will take place on September 25, 2022.  In the most recent Politico Poll of Polls, the Brothers of Italy lead the way with 25% of those surveyed, followed by the Democratic Party (22%), Five Star Movement (13%), Lega (13%) and Forza Italia (7%).  The new parliament will have 400 seats, so Giorgia Meloni and her Brothers of Italy party will need to cobble together 201 seats to secure a majority and make her Prime Minister. 

Resolution Criteria

This question will be resolved by an announcement of the election results by Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, and La Stampa.  Any discrepancy among the three publications will be superseded by the results published by the Direzione Centrale per i Servizi Elettorali.
