Context
At the June 2021 EU-US Summit, leaders pledged to “work towards” a Transatlantic Green Technology Alliance. This alliance would work towards aligning the EU and the US on technical standards, address regulatory discrepancies, and mobilize public and private investment to accelerate the development, scale up and deployment of breakthrough technologies.
Resolution Criteria
This question will be resolved via the European Commission’s and the U.S. government’s official announcement of a Transatlantic Green Technology Alliance, or reporting on the announcement of such an alliance from a major news source.
